Post 2013 PNW CRUISERS PARTY Aug. 9-11th POULSBO
Summer is an exciting time for the Puget Sound Area. Once again a chosen port will be invaded by a large group of boaters affectionately known as The Brethren of the Sound. With each annual invasion of the “Pirates”, these port communities have had a $60,000-$77,000 economic impact from one weekend.

This years event is brought to you by: Brethren of the Sound, Cruising Outpost, ThreeSheetsNW.com, 48*North, PacificNWBoaters.com, Smart Plug, Whinch rite, Coho ho ho and more.

This 12th year event will take place at the Port of Poulsbo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 9-11th 2013. During this time special activities are being held, for both children and adults. Keep in mind this is a boat centric event and so most activities are boat and pirate related. There will also be cannon fire from some of the boats and this would make this even a not so pet friendly place to bring your pets.
As always, the public is welcome to enjoy all activities, including and not limited to music on the docks performed by tropical-rock star Dave Calhoun on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday we have the Seafair Pirates bringing mayhem to the docks along with blindfolded dinghy races, pirate costume contests for both children and adults, best dressed boat contest, and children’s pirate piñata games. In the back to basics style I have consolidated this years party by bringing in two concrete barges to extend the E-Dock to accommodate dancing and general milling around along with a place for the bands to play and you to dance at. This will bring everyone together to socialize and also better hear the music and raffle prizes. The evening of Saturday the 10th we’ll have a raffle with proceeds going to non-profit charities and costs incurred for this event. Afternoon entertainment will be provided by the internationally known tropical rock Eric Stone Band . We also have the world famous author/sailor and publisher of Cruising Outpost Magazine, Mr Bob Bitchin on hand to write a feature article on this event for the magazine.
In the evening we have the town of Poulsbo teaming up with us to close down the entire downtown to set up a stage and bring you whats called Poulsbo's Street Dance event ( https://www.facebook.com/PoulsboStreetdance ) where all the businesses move into the street and three bands will play into the night. All this and more is why we are looking for local businesses as Sponsors for this event, if you are interested please contact me; sailorgary@hotmail.com

Please remove Marauder from the list. We have a conflicting engagement and won't be needing a slip.
